Following his studies in Architecture, and his subsequent degree in Project Management, Brad spent five years as a development consultant working with Toronto based non-profit groups, developing housing throughout the GTA.
After working for a prominent contractor, Brad realised that he wanted to lead change whilst providing the best service to both clients and trades. Together with Toccar Brown, he created BDA Inc.
In the 23 years since founding BDA, Brad has continued to volunteer his time to non-profit groups. Most recently, Brad has served as a Director for Crow’s Theatre, where he continues to sit on the Foundation Board.
From its humble beginnings, BDA Inc. has grown significantly, currently managing approximately 30 projects at any given time. Brad continues to be involved in every project, assisting in his role as Principal, mentor and negotiator.
Toccar began his career in construction, in Britain, as an apprentice carpenter and glazer. He completed his City and Guilds training, in carpentry and interior finishes, before starting his own business in Wales renovating residential properties.
After moving to Canada, and whilst playing rugby for the Toronto Nomads, Toccar established Wallace Contracting Inc., a company specializing in interior renovations. Together with Brad Daniels, they created BDA Inc. in 1997.
Under the steerage of Brad and Toccar, BDA has grown from a staff of two, working out of Toccar’s garage, to over sixty employees with two offices.
Toccar remains the head of health and safety at BDA Inc. He is still involved with every project, visiting our superintendents at our site locations. As a former tradesman, Toccar has a thorough knowledge of construction, providing advice where required.
