John Sopinka Courthouse Security Upgrades
The project required major security upgrades whilst retaining the ‘Modern-Classical’ heritage components within the facility. Renovations were scheduled to allow continuous use of the facility during construction, with all construction after hours.
The main entrance, and two jury entrances were altered, and a new dedicated staff entrance was constructed. Other security upgrades included video surveillance, duress alarms, and intercom systems.
