Renovation of a single-storey building to create a pub/restaurant. The existing interior was demolished back to the base structure and all new services were connected. Scope included new concrete floors, new mechanical, electrical and life safety systems, a commercial kitchen, a beer keg cooler including sophisticated lines to taps, and universal washrooms – all constructed under tight time and budget constraints. The walls in the front building – which date from the early 1800s – were carefully stripped to reveal the original plaster.
